East Sparta’s annual Awareness Week has begun (April 24) which will benefit our annual homecoming. This year’s homecoming is scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, June 22-24, 2017. A door-to-door solicitation will begin April 24 and will help offset homecoming expenses for entertainment and our Saturday night fireworks. Without the residents of our village helping, the 78th homecoming would not be possible. More details will be reported. Thank You!
Thursday, April 20 between 11:00 a.m. and noon a large building will be moved through the streets of East Sparta to its final destination at Marathon on Maplehurst Avenue. A similar building was moved last year without any difficulty. Here’s hoping all goes well again – it is quite a driving/maneuvering accomplishment.
The East Sparta Volunteer Fire Department meets each Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the Fire House. If you are interested in becoming a member call Chief Arnie Adams at 330.327.8820.

Good news: The water break in East Sparta at Maple & Pine has been repaired & hydrants flushed. Thanks again to all who worked in this cold to repair this break.
